The SACS/LEAF TM program was launched in 2013 by pharmacists, for pharmacists, to promote to promote simplified learning and improved patient care.
The acronym stands for :
l : learn
e : evaluate
a : advise
f : follow up
In fact, the sequence of this acronym is a reflection of the pharmacy practice. SACS/LEAF TM is a unique format for communicating drug information that promotes the achievement of professional standards for pharmacists.
Pharmacological and clinical advancements require pharmacists to regularly update their knowledge and skills. However, information is often dispersed and not adapted to their actual practice, which can often make the task difficult. The pharmacist must therefore waste precious time trying to :
- Evaluate patient records
- Counsel patients,
- Provide a quality follow-up
- And ultimately optimize patient care.
The context
It is important to point out that pharmacists are facing great pressure in an increasingly complex profession where responsibilities are increasing more and more.
In this context, the time required to search for relevant information weighs heavily in the daily practice and does not maximize the quality of care provided to patients. SACS/LEAF TM aims to be a companion to pharmacists by offering them trainings in a convenient format that facilitates learning and allows them to integrate their new knowledge into their practice, thereby enabling them to work more efficiently.
Our ultimate goal:
Facilitate learning for pharmacists by using an intuitive approach to enable them to intervene more easily and achieve better patient care.
